Castaway Foundry is a small portable foundry which travels to events and festivals, where they operate interactively to demonstrate and teach the process of sand casting. For around five years they have collected used aluminium cans and other scrap metal on site and turned them into keepsakes, using the process as both a practical demonstration and a way of engaging people directly with recycling, re use, and practical making.
