Green Party 2026 Manifesto Booklet

The manifesto was developed based on the Green Party’s principles and using the democratic membership processes we value. This isn’t cooked up by a few people in a backroom doing deals with corporate lobbyists. 

It sets out our party’s broad and bold vision and commitment for how a government could work for the best interests of everyone, for future generations and for the planet. 

None of this would be possible without the hopes, ideas and passion of Green Party members, and the movement they’ve built. This manifesto is their work, and their commitment to change in Aotearoa.

It outlines how we can protect what we all love, ensure everyone’s needs are met, and make life better for all of us here in Aotearoa. This vision is completely possible and within our reach.

Last time the Greens were in Government, we took more action on climate than the previous three decades of governments combined; secured the biggest ever boost to funding for protecting native plants and wildlife; and delivered Aotearoa’s first plan to eliminate family and sexual violence.
